Five Ways Families Can Build a Faith-Filled Reading Habit

Reading together can become a meaningful part of family life. It creates space to slow down, listen, learn, and grow in faith.

Here are five simple ways families can build a faith-filled reading habit:

  1. Choose books with purpose. Look for stories that encourage courage, kindness, wisdom, faith, and strong character.

  2. Set aside a regular reading time. Even fifteen minutes after dinner or before bed can help make reading a valued family rhythm.

  3. Ask thoughtful questions. After reading, ask: What did this character learn? What choice would you have made? What does this story teach us about faith or character?

  4. Let young readers choose sometimes. Giving children and teenagers a voice in selecting books helps them become more interested and involved.

  5. Connect stories to real life. Talk about how biblical truth, courage, forgiveness, and purpose can guide everyday choices at home, school, and with friends.

At Dannip Christian Press, we believe books can do more than entertain. They can help young readers grow in faith, understand their identity, and see that God has a purpose for their lives.
